Welcome!  You have reached the home page of The Vaughan Family History Group. (Kent, England)
The group is a collection of online individuals that have at least one thing in common: they are all researching the Vaughan surname and its variants. There are no fees, no dues, no formal meetings only a yearly reunion. Just people doing research and willing to share information on the Vaughan's of Kent.

The oldest Vaughan we have so far is Thomas Vaughan.  He married Hannah and had four children Thomas, Richard, John and Elizabeth all born at Westwell. Richards grandson Lewis Vaughan married Barbara Harlow 27th July 1851 and lived for most of his life in Chilham, Kent. Hence the photo of  Ann's Cottage, The Square, Chilham. The cottage is now a restaurant/tea-rooms "The Copper Kettle", where we meet each year for our reunion.
